Who is the HEAT?
The Harrison City Heat Softball program was established by Denny “Papa Heat” Little in 2008 to provide players from Penn Township with the opportunity to compete in softball at a higher level than in–house/ recreation ball. Our focus is to develop amazing softball players that stick together as a team and learn how to Work Hard, Have Fun, and Be Safe. We are devoted to the girls and their development as players and, more importantly, as people.
Over the years, we expanded our player roster to include Other Western PA Communities, and have built a culture of respect, ethics, hard work, dedication……. And winning. At the core of every travel softball program is the goal to win, respectfully. And we believe the HC Heat program does this as well any other program in Western PA.
Our Core Beliefs
HAVING EVERYONE ASCEND TOGETHER. We believe in a united team of 11-12 players, each of which is just as important as the others. We know that there will be NO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS at the 12u thru 16u levels, and we even want to educate you on the recruitment process just by attending our tryouts.
Our Commitment
The HEAT is dedicated to a positive environment and giving the players the Motivation and Belief in themselves that can take their fundamental play to the next level. This will be our 11th year of community involvement! We strive to prepare our players for a great Middle School, JV and Varsity experience! If this sounds good to you, HC Heat may be the place for your daughter to advance her skills! We are fully committed to our players and their families!!!!
That type of commitment is, in turn, asked FROM the players and parents as well. Please understand that the Travel Softball Season is a commitment..... To your player, to the coaches, to the other players and to the other families. Your family should be prepared to play many softball tournaments between October and June. Although we will not play each weekend, it is imperative that we know that you understand the commitment involved during the season. In addition, a code of conduct for all players and parents is expected to be understood and agreed upon.
